Last Oasis is a massively multiplayer sandbox video game set in a world that has stopped rotating. Developed and published by Donkey Crew, the game is scheduled to go into public Early Access on Steam during Q1 of 2020. The release data for EA was previously in October of 2019..[1]
Gameplay[edit]
The Earth has stopped rotating and the last survivors need to keep moving to avoid the Sun. Players can move across different Oasis on Walkers which are wooden machines propelled by wind. Players must gather materials, craft equipment and Walkers and improve the characters abilities. Fighting with other players/clans is sometimes necessary to facilitate survival. The final game will have trading, a player-driven economic system, melee combat, and a solo experience[2]
Lore[edit]
A devastating event stopped the Earth's rotation most of the land became inhospitable except for a band of surface between the hot and cold areas of the planet that moves with the rotation of the Earth around the Sun[2]
Launch[edit]
During the launch, the game became Steam's top-selling game and after the first day suffered widespread server issues and instability due to the number of players.[3]
