Lavanasuravadham (The Killing of Lavanasura) is an Aattakatha (Kathakali play) written by Palakkad Amritha Sastrigal.[1] The play is built around a chance meeting between Hanuman and Sita and her children Lava and Kusha. The sacrificial horse of Rama's Aswamedha yajna wanders into the forest where Sita had been abandoned. The children find the horse and tie it up. Hanuman comes in search of the horse, and discovers Sita and the children, much to his joy.
