The Fifth Day of Marriage) is an upcoming Indian Marathi-language comedy drama play written by Madhugandha Kulkarni and directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari.[1][2] The play is produced by Madhugandha Kulkarni, Swapnil Joshi, Amruta Khanvilkar and Trupti Patil under their joint production banner, Swapragandhamrut.[3]
The play is scheduled to premiere on 9 January 2026 at Shahu Kala Mandir, Satara.
Plot
The play centers on a married couple and explores the complexities of marital life, suggesting that marriage often involves navigating multiple personalities within a single relationship. Production
Lagna Panchami marks actress Amruta Khanvilkar’s theatre debut and the second stage production for actor Swapnil Joshi after twelve years, following his appearance in the play Get Well Soon.[6][7] The two actors were previously paired in the Marathi television series Jeevlaga (2019).[8]
