Laysha Ostrow

Laysha Ostrow (born 18 August 1980), is an American academic, businesswoman, and mental health advocate. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Mental Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Master of Public Policy from the Brandeis University Heller School for Social Policy and Management.[1] Ostrow attended Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts for Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is the founder and CEO of Live and Learn, Inc, which describes itself as a "social change microenterprise that provides research, consulting, and community engagement services to behavioral health and social service systems.[2] Additionally, she is a Visiting Professional at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.

Her research focuses mostly on peer-run mental heath services. Her research has been published in numerous academic journals. In 2014 she gave testimony before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.[3]
