Lazar Carević (Cyrillic: Лазар Царевић, born 16 March 1999) is a Montenegrin professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Spanish team Barcelona B.

Club career[edit]

Carević started his career at OFK Grbalj, breaking into the first team in 2015. In 2017, two months after his 18th birthday, he joined Barcelona.[1] After a year with the Barcelona U19 team, where he won the UEFA Youth League, he was promoted to Barcelona B for the 2018/19 season. In 2020, he signed a new 3-year contract, with a buy-out clause of €100 million.[2] On 6 November 2021, he made the bench for the senior team in a 3–3 draw against Celta Vigo.[3]

International career[edit]

Carević is a current Montenegro U21 international.

Personal life[edit]

He is the son of a controversial Montenegrin businessman and politician Marko "Bato" Carević.
