Lee N. Fiedler (born November 8, 1941) is the former mayor of Cumberland, Maryland. During the early 1990s, Lee Fiedler was the president and CEO of The Kelly Springfield Tire Company, a company that manufactured tires for about two dozen private brand marketers—including giants such as Sears, Wal-Mart, Discount Tire and Big O Tires. In 1999, Fiedler retired from Kelly-Springfield Tire at age 57 after Goodyear decided to move the operation to Akron, Ohio from Cumberland. The following year, Fiedler was elected Mayor, replacing Ed Athey in the non-partisan, part-time position. In 2001, Lee Fiedler was inducted into the Tire Industry Association Hall of Fame. Mayor Fiedler also teaches business part-time at Frostburg State University. On July 6, 2010, Lee Fiedler decided not to run for re-election, ending 10 years of serving as Mayor.[1] Fiedler has endorsed Democratic Mayor-elect Brian Grim.
