Leon Norman Ledohowski, OM (March 15, 1944 - August 4, 2025), better known as Leo Ledohowski was a Canadian businessman.
Early life
Ledohowski was born on March 15, 1944 in Winnipeg to Walter Ledohowski (1916-1987) and Anne Ledohowski (1923-2005, née Zasitko). Ledohowski grew up in Poplarfield, Manitoba, later moving to Broadview and Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor's degree in both Art and Commerce, later attending McMaster University and graduating with a Master of Business Administration degree.[2]
Career
Death
Ledohowski died on August 4, 2025 in Winnipeg at the age of 81. At the time of his death he was still the owner and president of Canad Inns.[3]
Achievements, awards and recognition
Ledohowski de received a Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002, a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, and a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022.[2]
Ledohowski de received a Distinguished Service Award from the University of Manitoba and a FCMA designation from the Certified Management Accountants of Canada in 2003. He was later inducted into the Order of Manitoba in 2022.[2]
