Leonid Alexandrovich Khromov (Russian: Леонид Александрович Хромов; born 29 October 1980) is a Russian Film producer, Impressario, screenwriter, film director, actor, composer of electronic music and founder of the international production company Velconte Entertainment.

Biography[edit]

Born on October 29, 1980 in Frunze of the Kirghiz SSR (now - Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). In 2002 he graduated from the Faculty of Transport Engineers of the Lipetsk State Technical University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently he lives in Moscow, Russia.

In 2012 he founded the production company Leonid Khromov Production, which organizes events, regional (Beauty of Lipetsk region.[1][2][3]) and international beauty contests (Queen Runet[4][5], Beauty of Universe[6][7][8], Smile Universe[9][10][11] and others).

In 2013, he released his debut music album The First Experience in the genre of Trance under the pseudonym Leonardo Velconte[12][13] on the world's major digital music stores (iTunes, Deezer, Spotify, Google Play Music, Yandex Music, etc.) and in the period 2016-2018 there are several more solo tracks in the genres of Drum & Bass and Deep House.

In the period from 2014 to 2016, Leonid Khromov was actively involved in social activities. With the support of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, he organized the federal road safety project Golden Zebra[14][15][16]. The organizers of the event carried out raids on the roads of Russia and rewarded law-abiding drivers who gave way to pedestrians at pedestrian crossings.

In 2019, the producer began producing and directing films, developing his own short films and feature films[17][18][19][20].

In 2020, he founded a new production company Velconte Entertainment[21]. In the same year, the producer founded a new international film festival Leonid Khromov International Film Festival (LKIFF)[22][23][24]. The project changed its format and became known as the Long Key International Film Awards in 2023.

In 2021, he founded a new international film award for professional actresses Actress Universe[25][26].

In 2022, Leonid Khromov announced the development of a new international streaming platform[27], where the main share will be films in English. The platform also plans to post films in other national languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Russian, Kyrgyz, etc.). As of September 2023, it became known that the streaming platform is being tested on a local server and can be launched for American, European and Asian audiences as early as 2024[28].
