Let’s Do This is an online marketplace for sports endurance events.
History[edit]
Let’s Do This was founded in July 2016 by University of Cambridge graduates Sam Browne and Alex Rose who are now the CEO and CPO respectively. In June 2017 it secured £1m in seed funding from various investors in sport and technology.[1]
In Summer 2019, Let’s Do This closed a $5 million seed round with sporting stars such as Serena Williams, Paula Radcliffe and Usain Bolt participating.[2] The round was led by Pete Flint at NFX and includes other notable investors such as Y Combinator, Shasta, Index and FJ Labs. Multiple individual angel investors were also involved.[3][4][5]
Products[edit]
The business states that it aims to make it easier for athletes to find endurance events online.[6] Red Bull have described them as the “Netflix of fitness” due to their familiar algorithmic approach to finding the resources most relevant to the user.[7] Currently they have over 30,000 races listed on their site ranging from local 5ks through to Ironman triathlons.[4]
In addition to searching for events, Let’s Do This launched the ability for their users to post and read reviews on races that they may be interested in.[7]
