Levi Nelson (born April 28, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who plays for the Sheffield Steelers of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). He was selected by the Boston Bruins in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career[edit]

On December 9, 2010, Boston traded Nelson to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for forward Juraj Šimek.[1] In the following season, Nelson played abroad in the German 2nd Bundesliga for ESV Kaufbeuren.

After completing the 2012–13 season with EHC Wolfsburg in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, Nelson remained in Europe and on July 31, 2013, signed a one-year contract with Italian club, Ritten-Renon of the Italian Serie A.[2]

On September 24, 2014, Nelson opted to return to the North American professional ranks prior to the 2014–15 season, in agreeing to a one-year contract with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.[3]

On June 1, 2015, Nelson signed a one-year contract with English ElHL club, the Sheffield Steelers.[4]
