Lewis Cater (born April 16, 1989) is a British director of music videos and commercials.
Career[edit]
In 2008; whilst studying film, television and journalism at the University of Lincoln. Lewis directed, produced and edited a number of videos for upcoming British artists. Lewis received his first major label video commission in 2010 for the American dance-rock band Cobra Starship, upon graduating from University 2011 he began his career in directing. Lewis has since then gone to direct hundreds of videos for artists across multiple genres, with his work being viewed by millions around the world. His work has been feature across multiple broadcasters and publications such as the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, MTV, MuchMusic, Kerrang, Fuse, Huffington Post and Rolling Stone.
Lewis has directed commercial spots for IKEA, Citroën, Greggs and HyperX amongst others.
In 2020, the Lewis Cater directed video "Some Kind Of Disaster" for All Time Low received a nomination for the "Best Alternative Video" at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards.
Lewis Cater has directed videos for Calum Scott, All Time Low, Shinedown, Sum 41, Nothing But Thieves, Pendulum, Cobra Starship, Emeli Sandé, Ella Henderson among others.
