Rex Li Xinyi (simplified Chinese: 李鑫一; born March 13, 1998) is a Chinese singer and songwriter. Rex was a contestant in the survival program, Produce Camp 2019. His first debut single, Dream with Me (2019), was released at the 2019 Opening Ceremony of the 5th Annual Jackie Chan International Action Film Week.[1]
Early Life[edit]
Born in Liaoning, China on March 13, 1998. He was an avid basketball player until he was introduced to singing. Rex attends the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy.
Career[edit]
Rex and three other trainees represented SDT Entertainment on Chinese reality boy band show Produce Camp 2019. His performances, particularly his powerful high note vocals, received admiration from fans around the world.[2] However, he was eliminated in the final episode and did not debut with R1SE. He made his solo debut in 2019, with the single "Dream with Me" on 16 July 2019. His second single, titled "Walk with You" was released on August 7, 2019.
