Libby Babet

Libby Babet (born 6 January 1982) is an Australian entrepreneur, personal trainer, journalist and television personality. She is the new trainer on the Australian version of The Biggest Loser, joining the team in season 11 known as The Biggest Loser Australia: Transformed, which premiered on 14 March 2017.

Background[edit]

Libby Babet (née Hunt) grew up in Brisbane, Queensland and attended All Hallows' School where she represented Queensland in 200m and 400m running and touch football. Libby also represented Australia at the World Hip Hop Championships. After completing her Bachelor of Journalism at Queensland University of Technology, Libby worked as a journalist and magazine editor before becoming a full-time personal trainer in 2010.

Career[edit]

Libby launched her first business BUF Girls in 2010, an outdoor training group for women. BUF Girls has since grown to over 10 locations around Australia and provides online programs to thousands of women worldwide.

In 2012, Libby launched AGOGA, a group functional training gym in Bondi. She also began writing for Women's Fitness Magazine as the resident personal trainer.

In 2015, Libby co-founded Chief Bar, a wholefood protein snack made from grass-fed meat.

In 2016, Libby and the BUF Girls joined the HIT Network as ambassadors and fitness experts, and the BUF Girls held their first live 'entertrainment' event at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney.

In 2017, Chief Bar merged with This Natural Life, wholesale suppliers of health food products. Libby also joined the team at The Biggest Loser which premiered on 14 March 2017.
