Lil Keed is an upcoming American rapper based in Atlanta and signed to Young Thug's YSL Records. He is best known for his song "Nameless" which has reached more than 10 million views on YouTube. [1]
Early life[edit]
Similar to Young Thug, Keed grew up in the same Cleveland Avenue in Atlanta. He traced his childhood in an area known as Zone 3, known for gangs, drug use, and violence. Prior to rapping Keed admitted to doing "hot stuff" for money and after the death of his close friend Keed started taking rapping seriously in 2016. Described as one of Atlanta's next rising rap stars along, his music was played at clubs in Atlanta. Keed.[2]
Keed has 6 brothers and 1 sister, most notably he is the elder brother of rapper Lil Gotit. Despite his parents separating at an early age, both were present in Keed's upbringing. Being close to studio, Keed would record music almost on a daily basis. He was inspired by listening to music by Young Thug, Peewee Longway, Big Bank Black.[3]
Career[edit]
In 2018, Keed released his breakout project Trapped in Cleveland 2. Some of his most popular songs include “Blicky Blicky” and “Fetish."[citation needed]
On December 2018, Keed dropped another mix tape, Keed Talk To Em. Featured artists included 21 Savage, Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, Lil Durk, and others. The mix was best known for "Nameless" "Balenciaga" and "Red Hot". It was his most successful project up to date. [4]
On March 2019, Keed's older brother Lil Gotit dropped his new track "Drop The Top" in which Keed was featured in. [5]
