History

2017-2018: Formation & Releases

Limelght was formed in Chicago, IL in January 2017 and was initially a duo made up of Nicholas Gunn and Stephen "Tanner" Wilfong [1].

Limelght's debut track, Don't Leave Me Now, was signed and released by industry powerhouse Armin Van Buuren's Armada Music on their flagship label Armind in October of 2017 [2][3]. Described as "an outpouring of emotion that makes for remarkable moments,"[4] the track premiered on Van Buuren's popular radio show A State of Trance Episode 834[5].

Its second release, Canis Major, quickly followed in January 2018. It was also released on Armind [6][7] and debuted on A State of Trance Episode 848[8].

Its third track "Intoxicated" was released on Raz Nitzan Music in May 2018[9]. Again, Limelght received Van Buuren's support with the radio debut of "Intoxicated" on A State of Trance Episode 860[10].

Back on Armada Music, their fourth release, "Right Now," was released in June 2018 on Alexander Popov's imprint label Interplay [11][12][13]

In July 2018, Wilfong resigned from the duo, relinquishing the brand to Gunn.
