Lina Posada born March 13, 1985, is a Colombian model and fashion designer, best known for her appearance in the video clip Taboo by Don Omar and as face of the Colombian lingerie brand Bésame.
Early life[edit]
Lina Posada is considered one of the most sought-after models in her country, Colombia.[1]. Posada is known for her appearance in the video clip Taboo by Don Omar but has also been protagonist of Obsesión by Maluma and Me vuelvo un Cobarde by Christian Daniel. Posada started her career with the well known Colombian brand Bésame from where she captivated the eye of many other important brands such as Mapalé, UJeans, T.T. Blues, Paradizia, and Revista Carmel to name a few.
Career and modeling[edit]
Posada never dreamed to be a model, she came into the industry by chance, her dream was to become an aviation pilot but her dream was frustrated [2]. At the age of 20 she became a model for Besame. In 2012, after six years as a model for Besame, Posada became the face of their catalog naming Posada the Queen of Lingerie[3] [4]. As a runway model, she has walked the catwalk for designers such as Besame Lingerie, T.T. Blues Jeans, Babalu and Mapalé. Posada has been the face of lingerie brand Mapale since 2007. Posada became a Monster Energy girl in 2015, appearing in that year's fall Monster Energy Cup SX [5]. Posada continued to build upon her portfolio, doing more print work for Revista Carmel, JSN, Irgus Swim, Cadenza Swimwear, Soul Intimates, Duchess Jeans, Fiara Jeans, and Deluxe Jeans. Posada signed as face of Just Auto Insurance in 2016 [6]. She also appeared on the covers and in the editorials of Revista Imagen, Manic, Blonde and Eventos en Red.
Acting[edit]
Posada participated in the music video Taboo by Don Omar which counts with more than 417 million views on YouTube. The song was shot in both the Dominican Republic and Brazil, directed by Marlon Pena and produced by Noelia Cacavelli Taboo (Don Omar song). In 2012 Posada participated in her second music video Obsesión by Maluma. The video for the single Obsesión was filmed at the Antioquia Department Railway Station and counts with more than 187 million views Maluma (singer). In 2014 Posada traveled to Puerto Rico to participate in Me Vuelvo un Cobardo by Christian Daniel. Posada has also participated in commercials for Just Auto Insurance, Captain Morgan, Auto Alianza USA, and Allen Gwynn Chevrolet to name a few.
Charity[edit]
Posada does charitable work helping with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), "Fundación Amar Así" (Love like that Foundation), located in Medellín. She helps with donations to expand the foundation and supplies for the children in the organization [1].
Personal life[edit]
Posada was born in Barranquilla, Colombia and later moved to Medellin, Colombia. Posada started modeling at the age of 20 with Besame lingerie[3]. She is mother of two, son and daughter, whom she had with Colombian model Juan David Posada. In 2011 she separated from the father of her children [7]. Posada admits that she spoils them, that her world revolves around her children and that she enjoys playing and going to the movies with them[8]. Posada is a great soccer fan, and one of her favorite teams is Atlético de Madrid [9]. In 2013 Posada moved to Los Angeles, CA. In December of 2016 Posada launched her online boutique Lelou in Los Angeles, CA [10]
