Biography[edit]
Linda Lorenz was born on the 19th of May 1945. She started singing at the age of 8 in the Church choir and with continuous effort improved her singing abilities. When she stepped on Lima soil for the first time, she shared that she'd never thought she would sing on similar stages. [1]
Imelda Angélica Santaya Tuesta plays in long bolero plays and mini bolero plays. The first time she got on bolero stage in Peru, the majority of believed she was a foreigner and not national born singer. At a later stage, she became recognized by Latin Americans as the voice of bolero.[citation needed]
One of her famous albums is Cárcel de amor of 1968. She is currently living in Lima, teaching students as a vocal pedagogue.[2]
The Universidad Nacional del Callao paid a tribute to Linda Lorenz more than once over the years.[3]
