Lineage of Jesus
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". According to the Bible, there are two different lineages for Jesus Christ. The first is found in the gospel of Matthew chapter 1, and the second is found in the gospel of Luke chapter 3. Matthew's gospel begins with Abraham, and follows the lineage of the kings of Judah, while Luke's gospel narrative, starts from Joseph, and works its way up the lineage. It differs from Matthew's gospel, not only in the ancestral direction, but also in the people who are named, between King David and Joseph, the husband of Mary. Luke's gospel also traces the lineage from Abraham, back to Adam, and the names are the same used in the Genesis records from Adam to Noah, and from Noah to Abraham.
