Lisa Bevere
Lisa Bevere (born June 6, 1960) is an American minister and New York Times bestselling author[1]. She is the co-founder of Messenger International, a non-profit that translates and distributes Christian teaching in over 128 languages.[2]
Early life and education
Lisa grew up in Lafayette, Indiana. She attended college at Arizona State University as well as Purdue University before meeting her husband John Bevere in June of 1981. The two married on October 2, 1982. They quickly encountered marriage problems, which they wrote about in the book they co-authored, The Story of Marriage.[3]
Ministry and career
Lisa Bevere began preaching in 1988 when she and her husband John worked as youth pastors at a church. She wrote her first book Out of Control and Loving It in 1991[4]. Her book Without Rival, released in 2016, went on to become a New York Times best-seller[5]. In 2017, she released her first children’s book, Lizzy the Lioness.[6]
Personal life
Lisa currently lives in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband John.
