A century in cricket occurs when a batsman scores 100 runs or more in an innings, 20 Bangladeshi players have scored at least one century in Test matches.[1] Tamim Iqbal leads the table of scoring most centuries (8) for Bangladesh in Test followed by Mohammad Ashraful and Mominul Haque who have scored 6 centuries each. Mushfiqur Rahim became first batsman from Bangladesh to ht a double century in test and also became only 2nd Wicket-keeper Captain in the history of test cricket to score a double century after MS Dhoni.[2] In 2013 against New Zealand, Sohag Gazi became the first ever cricketer to score a century and claim a Hat-trick in the same test. [3] In 2018 against Sri Lanka, Mominul Haque became first Bangladeshi to score century in both innings of a test. [4] In 2019 Soumya Sarkar scored fastest century by a Bangladeshi batsman in 94 balls against New Zealand at Seddon Park equaling Tamim Iqbal who also scored a century in 94 balls against England at Lord's in 2010.[5][6]
