He transforms into Lupin Red (ルパンレッド, Rupan Reddo). By setting the Victory Striker into the VS Changer, Lupin Red can become the armored Super Lupin Red (スーパールパンレッド, Sūpā Rupan Reddo) where he gains the ability to predict an enemy's maneuvers. His finishing move is an energized blast from the VS Changer.

Despite his mischievous nature, often lazing around while working at the Bistrot Jurer while messing with Keiichiro every chance he gets, Kairi takes his role as a Lupinranger seriously. In fact, Kairi's antics conceal both his childhood trauma of losing his parents and the trauma of having seemingly saw Shori's death which motivated him to act rash whenever fighting Zamigo. But Kairi also unexpectedly befriended Keiichiro over the course of the series while maintaining his secret identity, with the officer eventually starting to understand his group's motives. The two finally worked together willingly during the battle against Destra, with Kairi becoming a friendly rival of Keiichiro before and after the police officer deduced his identity as Lupin Red.

He is later revealed to be one of the original Back World residents like Noël, whom he is protective of as he attempted to talk him into stop helping the Sentai teams fight the Gangler. File:Patrangers cast.jpg

The Global Special Police Organization (国際特別警察機構, Kokusai Tokubetsu Keisatsu Kikō), abbreviated as GSPO, is an international police force headquartered in France that deals with the Gangler menace.

Patrangers[edit]

The Patrangers are a tactical unit of the GSPO Japan Branch that are permitted to take extralegal action against the Gangler menace. Like the Lupinrangers, each Patranger carries a VS Changer, which they use to transform and access the powers of their VS Vehicles. Their sidearm is the megaphone-like Pat Megabo (パトメガボー, Pato Megabō), which doubles as a baton. By setting the Good Striker into the VS Changer, Patren 1gou can merge with Patren 2gou and Patren 3gou into the tricolored Patren Ugou (パトレンU号, Patoren Yūgō) to perform the Ichigeki Strike (イチゲキストライク, Ichigeki Sutoraiku, One-Hit Strike) finishing move.

Keiichiro Asaka[edit]

Keiichiro Asaka (朝加 圭一郎, Asaka Keiichirō) is a hot-blooded, serious policeman who is the leader of the Patrangers, putting his duties as a servant of the people above his own interests. Keiichiro is also quite dense when it comes to women, appearing to be aware of his flaws and would heed Tsukasa's advice even if he hates it as she is more rational than him. He transforms into the red-colored Patren 1gou (パトレン1号, Patoren Ichigō). By setting the Siren Striker into the VS Changer, Patren 1gou can become the armored Super Patren 1gou (スーパーパトレン1号, Sūpā Patoren Ichigō) where he gains a pair of shoulder cannons,

While Keiichiro believed the Lupin Collection can be used for good, he initially had a negative view of the Lupinrangers and expressed animosity towards Lupin Red. Ironically, Keiichiro ended up befriending Kairi, unaware of the latter being Lupin Red. While Keiichiro's attitude towards the Lupinrangers worsens when Kairi took advantage of the officer more than once, it subsides once he learns the thieves' tragic motives for stealing the Lupin Collection to the point of subtly respecting Lupin Red during their battle against Destra. This, along with learning the truth of Noël Takao, allowed Keiichiro to finally deduce the Lupinrangers' civilian identities with him and Kairi as friendly rivals.

Keiichiro Asaka is portrayed by Kousei Yuki (結木 滉星, Yūki Kōsei).[5] As a child, Keiichiro is portrayed by Ryuui Ushio (牛尾 竜威, Ushio Ryūi).

Sakuya has a positive view of the Lupinrangers, which more often than not leaves him at the mercy of Keiichiro's rantings whenever he accidentally expresses it in front of the latter, and has a crush on Umika, unaware of her true identity and skeptical once he learns the truth. He is also quite honest and laid-back, but also shown to be observant and quick-thinking, and has more often than not saved his team from danger on his own. However, he is also rather naive and easily used by others despite his past as a reputed playboy, but he will snap upon realizing he had been duped, with his fighting abilities reaching a point where his seniors can barely keep up with.

Sakuya Hikawa is portrayed by Ryo Yokoyama (横山 涼, Yokoyama Ryō).[6]

Tsukasa Myojin[edit]

Tsukasa Myojin (明神 つかさ, Myōjin Tsukasa) is a candid, caring policewoman who was a fellow student of Keiichiro at the police school. She transforms into the pink-colored Patren 3gou (パトレン3号, Patoren Sangō).

Tsukasa has a neutral view of the Lupinrangers which slowly progresses to positive, having fought alongside one of their members the most, and usually sports a calm and collected demeanor, unless when she is engaged into her secret hobby of collecting and hugging stuffed toys, during which she shows a childish side and will squeal out strange sentences. She also has an irrational fear of ghosts. Tsukasa has to deal with her male colleagues' antics from time to time, especially when Keiichiro's temper flares up. Because of this, she often worries for Keiichiro, as the latter's stubborn resilience meant that he does not know when to retreat. Her grandfather was a policeman, and she was brought up by her grandparents after her parents died when she was a child.

Tsukasa Myojin is portrayed by Kazusa Okuyama (奥山 かずさ, Okuyama Kazusa).[7] As a child, Tsukasa is portrayed by Riko Awano (粟野 莉子, Awano Riko).

Director Hilltop[edit]

Director Samuel Hilltop (サミュエル・ヒルトップ管理官, Samyueru Hirutoppu-kanrikan) is the Patrangers' direct superior, tasked with overseeing their activities. Although an easy-going man with a penchant for wagashi, he is shown to understand his subordinates more than they realize, and often watches out for them.

Director Hilltop is portrayed by Ike Nwala (アイクぬわら, Aiku Nuwara).[4]

Noël Takao in his GSPO uniform.

Noël Takao (高尾 ノエル, Takao Noeru) is the 26-year-old adopted son of Arsène Lupin whose guidance enabled him to create certain items in the Lupin Collection that include the VS Changers and some VS Vehicles. When the Lupin Collection was stolen by the Ganglers, Noël vowed to retrieve the items and avenge Lupin's death at Dogranio Yarbun's hands. Enlisting in the GSPO as a special investigator in its France Branch, keeping the former group's identities from the latter, Noël arrives in Japan to aid both the Lupinrangers and the Patrangers with the intention of uniting the two teams into one true miraculous Sentai team to defeat the Ganglers. But Noël's secretive nature made both Kairi and Keiichiro slow to trust him, further complicated when Destra reveals that all the items within the Lupin Collection were originally created in Back World. Eventually, Noël is exposed as one of the original residents of Back World who was forced to leave his world when Gangler group took it over. Though the Lupinrangers and Patrangers get back to opposing each other after the Gangler have been finally defeated, Noël remains adamant that the two teams can be permanently united as one true Sentai team.

Using his own transformation gun known as the X Changer (Xチェンジャー, Ekkusu Chenjā), Noël is capable of transforming into either a gold-colored Patranger known as Patren X (パトレンエックス, Patoren Ekkusu) or a silver-colored Lupinranger known as Lupin X (ルパンエックス, Rupan Ekkusu). His sidearm is the X Rod Sword (Xロッドソード, Ekkusu Roddo Sōdo), which has two modes that are each compatible with one of his different forms: a jitte-like Rod Mode wielded by Patren X, whose finishing move is the Excellent X (エクセレントエックス, Ekuserento Ekkusu), and a saber-like Sword Mode wielded by Lupin X, whose finishing move is the Superior X (スペリオルエックス, Superioru Ekkusu). By setting the Siren Striker into another Lupinranger or Patranger's VS Changer, Lupin X can become the armored Super Lupin X (スーパールパンエックス, Sūpā Rupan Ekkusu) where he gains a pair of shoulder cannons, and his finishing move is the Super Superior Strike (スーパースペリオルストライク, Sūpā Superioru Sutoraiku), while by setting the Victory Striker, Patren X can become the armored Super Patren X (スーパーパトレンエックス, Sūpā Patoren Ekkusu) instead.

Noël Takao is portrayed by Seiya Motoki (元木 聖也, Motoki Seiya). As a child, Noël is portrayed by Hakuto Yamada (山田 羽久利, Yamada Hakuto).[8]

Satoru Shinonome[edit]

Satoru Shinonome (東雲 悟, Shinonome Satoru) was an original member of the Tactical Unit that would later become the Patrangers and a candidate for the position of Patren 2gou, only to end up being injured by the Gangler member Zonic Lee and transferred to GSPO French HQ with Sakuya taking his place on the team. He would later return to Japan as part of an investigation to discover Noël Takao's true identity. In reality, abducted by Zamigo and murdered off-screen so that the Gangler member Narizma Shibonz would assumed his identity to infiltrate the GSPO before coming to Japan to discredit Noël. The Patrangers avenge Satoru's death upon learning the truth with Super Lupin X's help.

Satoru Shinonome is portrayed by Hirotaka Hatano (秦野 浩孝, Hatano Hirotaka).

VS Vehicles[edit]

The VS Vehicles (VSビークル, Bui Esu Bīkuru) are artifacts from the Lupin Collection that both the Lupinrangers and the Patrangers use to transform, as well as power up their weapons. They can also grow in size to be piloted by their users and combine into several mecha with Good Striker's help.[9]

Dial Fighters[edit]

The Dial Fighters (ダイヤルファイター, Daiyaru Faitā) are the Lupirangers' personal aircraft-shaped VS Vehicles that can open safes with a three number code, allowing them to decode and unlock a Gangler member's safe. If an auxiliary Dial Fighter is set into the VS Changer, it activates a Phantom Thief Boost (快盗ブースト, Kaitō Būsuto) which enables a Lupinranger to either arm themselves with a weapon based on said Dial Fighter or perform a finishing move.

If an auxiliary Trigger Machine is set into the VS Changer, it activates a Police Force Boost (警察ブースト, Keisatsu Būsuto) which enables a Patranger to either arm themselves with a weapon based on said Trigger Machine or perform a finishing move. While the Dial Fighters can unlock the Gangler safes, the Trigger Machines can be used to reset their combinations, rendering them unusable by their owners.

He appears to have a fear of Kogure, as he immediately took off upon hearing the latter's name before the Lupinrangers could react during his debut.

Being compatible to the two teams' VS Changers, Good Striker can aid the Lupinrangers or the Patrangers depending on his mood whenever he appears in the midst of a battle. He can also transform himself into a large-sized VS Vehicle with both Dial Fighter and Trigger Machine modes, allowing him to combine with either team's VS Vehicles to form a giant robot. In Dial Fighter mode, his activation code is 3-2-1.

Like his acquaintance Good Striker, Jackpot Striker can transform himself into a large-sized VS Vehicle as well as combine with the Lupinrangers' primary Dial Fighters to form Lupin Rex (ルパンレックス, Rupan Rekkusu). His activation code is 7-7-7.

Jackpot Striker is voiced by Keiji Fujiwara (藤原 啓治, Fujiwara Keiji).

Lupin Magnum[edit]

The Lupin Magnum (ルパンマグナム, Rupan Magunamu) is a pistol-like device considered to be the Lupin Collection's most powerful item, becoming Lupin Red's personal weapon after he clears a final test left by Arsène Lupin to obtain it. By combining it with the VS Changer, he can perform the Itadaki Do-Do-Do Strike (イタダキド・ド・ドストライク, Itadaki Do Do Do Sutoraiku, Seizing Big Big Big Strike) finishing move. When infused with the power of Lupin Kaiser, he is capable of performing an enhanced version of his finishing move known as the Ikasama Do Strike (イカサマドストライク, Ikasama Do Sutoraiku, Trickery Big Strike). Like the VS Vehicles, the Lupin Magnum can enlarge and change from Magnum Mode (マグナムモード, Magunamu Mōdo) to Robo Mode (ロボモード, Robo Mōdo) via Phantom Thief Transformation (快盗変形, Kaitō Henkei) which allows it to open a giant-sized Gangler's safe and combine with the Dial Fighters.

  • Lupin Magnum Superior (ルパンマグナムスペリオル, Rupan Magunamu Superioru): A combination of the Lupin Magnum with the Blue and Yellow Dial Fighters.

Gangler[edit]

The Interdimensional Crime Group Gangler (異世界犯罪者集団ギャングラー, Isekai Hanzaisha Shūdan Gyangurā) are an interdimensional criminal organization established five centuries ago, based in a mansion located in the dimension known as Back World (裏の世界, Ura no Sekai) which they conquered. The Gangler members stole the Lupin Collection and divided the items amongst themselves. Each member places a stolen Lupin item inside a built-in safe on their body to access the item's power for their use, the safe being impenetrable unless forced open by someone possessing a Dial Fighter or a special electronic device used by Lupin X. While most members have one safe, Noël labels the members that possess two built-in safes as Status Double (ステイタス・ダブル, Suteitasu Daburu) while the higher-ranked members are designated as Status Gold (ステイタス・ゴールド, Suteitasu Gōrudo) for possessing golden built-in safes that can only be opened with two Dial Fighters combined. To blend into human society, some of the Gangler members wear human disguises, which Zamigo Delma makes from humans and sells to them. When the Ganglers' founding leader Dogranio Yarbun decides to retire, he offers to select his heir from whomever among the Gangler membership can take over Earth. But the Gangler members were ultimately decimated with Dogranio now in GSPO custody.

Dogranio Yarbun[edit]

Dogranio Yarbun (ドグラニオ・ヤーブン, Doguranio Yābun), labeled as Status Gold Physical Protect (ステイタス・ゴールド・フィジカル・プロテクト, Suteitasu Gōrudo Fijikaru Purotekuto) due to the golden safe on his chest being protected by unbreakable Physical Protect Chains (フィジカル・プロテクト・チェーン, Fijikaru Purotekuto Chēn), is the Ganglers' founding leader, having led the organization for five centuries and personally killed Arsène Lupin while overseeing his group stealing the Lupin Collection for their use. Despite his laidback nature and comradery with his subordinates, Dogranio would not hesitate to dispose of any who disappoint him as he is the type who expects results regardless of their methods. But now 999 years old, still extremely powerful despite his old age with the ability to fire powerful circular blades at unseeable speeds from a long distance, Dogranio decides to retire and sets up the contest among his subordinates to select an heir to his organization among which Gangler member successfully takes over Earth. Dogranio was initially content to sit back and watch events unfold before slowly reconsidering his retirement due to constant interference of the Lupinrangers and Patrangers following the death of Laimon Gaorfangue, vowing revenge after losing his bodyguard Destra Maggio. Using Noël as bait to lure the Sentai teams in an attempt to kill them, Dogranio betrays Gauche Le Mede and steals her Lupin Collection items for his own use. In the final battle, Dogranio allows Zamigo to have his showdown with the three Lupinrangers inside his safe, while he confronts Noël and the Patrangers by himself. But Dogranio is defeated by the Patrangers in a moment of hubris when the Lupinrangers steal all the Lupin Collection items within his safe, imprisoned within the GSPO's underground prison with his own chains binding him to a cement block.

Armed with the Gangladius (ギャングラディウス, Gyanguradiusu) sword cane, Dogranio's golden safe hold the entirety of the Lupin Collection which includes what he stole from Gauche.[10]

Destra Maggio (デストラ・マッジョ, Desutora Majjo) is Dogranio's right-hand man and bodyguard, armed with a war hammer with a built-in 4-tube missile pod called the Destlauncher (デストランチャー, Desutoranchā) and able to summon giant pseudo-lifeforms called Golams (ゴーラム, Gōramu) with Kamekudaku (カメクダーク, Kamekudāku) pincher hands. The two golden safes built into Destra's shoulders originally held two Lupin Collection items: The "Au loin" (遠く離れて, Tōku Hanarete, Far off) slingshot which allows him to increase his maximum firing range by ten times and the "Le coup de chance" (幸運の大当たり, Kōun no Ōatari, The stroke of luck) device which allows him to give a homing effect to his missiles. But Destra is later revealed to have gave his items to Togeno and Anidara for their use, the latter when he deduced the Lupin Collection items in the Sentai teams' disposal were made for human use.

When Destra decides to deal with the Lupinrangers and the Patrangers himself, he utilizes the stolen Siren Striker and Victory Striker, granting him gravity manipulation and foresight respectively. It wasn't until both teams cooperate to reclaim the stolen VS Vehicles, and he is ultimately destroyed by them using Good Kuru Kaiser VSX armed with the Lupin Magnum. His death was mourned by Dogranio as his employer recognizes his loyalty and swears to avenge him.[11][12][13]

Gauche Le Mede[edit]

Gauche Le Mede (ゴーシュ・ル・メドゥ, Gōshu Ru Medu), possessing Submachine Wan (サブマシン腕, Sabumashin Wan) cybernetic arms, is the tactless and corrupt scientist who supports Gangler members as a doctor to suit her personal agenda. The built-in golden safe on her back contains one of four Lupin Collection items that she uses for any situation, the first being the "Gros caliber" (大きくなれ, Ōkiku Nare, Get Big) syringe which allows her to enlarge or enhance her fellow Gangler members. The second item is the "Guéris le monde" (世界を癒そう, Sekai o Iyasō, Heal the World) binoculars which enables her to completely analyze whoever she observes, which initially Noël feared would expose him as he once forced the Lupinrangers to retreat upon seeing Gauche about to use it on them. The third item is the "Coupe le gâteau" (ケーキ入刀, Kēki Nyūtō, Cut the cake) scalpel which allows her to turn her right hand into a sharp blade, and the fourth item is the "Évade-toi de l'autre côté" (突き抜けろ, Tsukinukero, Escape to the other side) crest that allowed her to liquefy her body before giving it Zamigo for his use. When she later confronts the Lupinrangers and the Patrangers with the last of her Experimental Body creations, Gauche finds herself betrayed by Dogranio who steals her Lupin Collection items and leaves her to be killed by the Sentai teams as she uses the last of her strength to transplant her golden safe from her body into her creation.[14]

Zamigo can regenerate his body from injury and produce single-use ice Freeze Colder (フリーズコールダー, Furīzu Kōrudā) flintlock pistols from the two built-in golden safes on his thighs that allow him to teleport others to an undisclosed location to serve as templates for other Gangler members, the teleportation itself giving the illusion that the targets are instantly killed off. Zamigo played a role in Lupinrangers' formation as they assumed he killed their loved ones when he abducted them during his rampage around the time of Dogranio's 998th birthday, forming a rivalry against Kairi before realizing him to be the younger brother of one of his victims. Zamigo later allowed Gauche to implant a third safe on his lower back, giving him access to the power of the "Évade-toi de l'autre côté" that was previously in Gauche's possession. During the final battle, using the Lupinrangers' loved ones as incentive, Zamigo challenges Lupin Red to a final duel within Dogranio's safe to endure no one would interfere before Lupin Blue and Yellow followed. Zamigo ends up being destroyed by Lupin Red armed with the Lupin Magnum after his Lupin Collection is stolen and his safes locked by the power of some Trigger Machines that Keiichiro lent to the Lupinrangers by Noël's request. Zamigo's death released his hostages back to the location where they were initially frozen.[15]
