The HGSA Sutherland Lecture was established in 2005 for the purpose of honouring an outstanding mid-career researcher of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA). The Sutherland Lecture was named in honour of Professor Grant Sutherland. This invited presentation is given annually at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the HGSA.
