This is the list of deaths caused directly or indirectly by FIFA World Cup 2014.[1][2][3]

  • 11 June 2012: A builder falls to his death during construction of the World Cup stadium in Brasilia, Brazil's capital.
  • 28 March 2013: A worker dies after a fall at the stadium site in Manaus, the capital of the state of Amazonas.
  • 27 November 2013: Two workers, Fabio Luis Pereira (42) and Ronaldo Oliveira dos Santos (44) died when a crane collapses at the São Paulo stadium.[4]
  • 14 December 2013: Marcleudo de Melo Ferreira (22) falls from 35 metres to his death from the roof of stadim Arena Amazonas at the Manaus.[5][6]
  • 7 February 2014: Antônio José Pita Martins (55) dies at the Manaus stadium from head and chest injuries suffered while dismantling a crane.[7][8]
  • 29 March 2014, A construction worker Fabio Hamilton da Cruz, fell to death from 8 meters while installing temporary seating at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo stadium, Brazil [9][10]
  • 9 May 2014, A worker Mohammed Ali Maciel (32 years), died of electrocution during the construction of World Cup venues in Arena Pantanal of Brazil.[11][12]
  • 18 June 2014, 14 people killed in a suicide bombing near an illegal football viewing site in Nigeria injuring many others [13]
  • 28 June 2014, a woman was shot dead by bullet fired randomly following the win of Colombia over Uruguay in Bogota of Bosa[14]
  • 9 July 2014, a Nepalese fan of Brazil Pragya Thapa (15 years), committed suicide after Brazil lost to Germany with 7-1 goal in semi-final match in FIFA World Cup 2014 in Nepal. However investigation is still going on.[15][16][17][18]
