This is a list of heads of state of Bulgaria in order of longevity. There are currently four Tsars on the list, one of whom are living. There are currently six communist heads of state, none of whom are living. There are currently six Presidents, four of whom are living. The list is in descending order and is correct as of 4 November 2024. The longest-lived heads of state was Ferdinand I (1861–1948).
To account for the different number of leap days within the life of each heads of state, two measures of longevity are given. The first is the number of whole years the heads of state lived, and the number of days past their last birthday. The second list the total number of days lived by the heads of state, accounting for differing numbers of leap years within the lifespans of different heads of state.

The youngest person to become president was Georgi Parvanov, at the age of 44 years, 208 days. The oldest person to become president was Zhelyu Zhelev, at the age of 55 years, 151 days.
The oldest living president is Petar Stoyanov, born 25 May 1952 (aged 72 years, 163 days). The youngest living former president is Rosen Plevneliev, born 14 May 1964 (aged 60 years, 174 days). The incumbent president is Rumen Radev, born 18 June 1963 (aged 61 years, 139 days).
The oldest head of state is Ferdinand I (1861–1948), who died at the age of 87 years, 197 days. The oldest living former head of state, Simeon II (born June 16, 1937), will tie Ferdinand I if he lives to December 31, 2024.
