Ema Derossi-Bjelajac, the 6th President of the Presidency of the Socialist Republic of Croatia (1985-1986), is the oldest living head of state before independence and overall.
Stjepan Mesić, the 2nd President of Croatia (2000-2010), is the longest-lived and oldest living head of state since independence.
Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, the 4th President of Croatia (since 2015), is the shortest-living and youngest head of state overall.

This is a list of the heads of state of Croatia since the establishment of the role in 1945, during the existence of the People's Republic of Croatia as a Yugoslav constituent republic, and of the Presidents of Croatia since the declaration of independence on 25 June 1991, in order of longevity. There are currently twenty-one heads of state on the list and five living heads of state. This list is in decreasing order and is correct as of 28 November 2024.

  • The longest-lived head of state before independence and overall is Milutin Baltić (1920-2013), at 92 years, 329 days.
  • The oldest living head of state before independence and overall is Ema Derossi-Bjelajac (born 3 May 1926).
  • The longest-lived and oldest currently living head of state since independence is Stjepan Mesić (born 24 December 1934).

To account for the different number of leap days within the life of each president, two measure of longevity are given. The first is the number of whole years the president lived, and the number of days past their last birthday. The second list the total number of days lived by the president, accounting for differing numbers of leap years within the lifespans of different presidents.
