Shakib was appointed Bangladesh's vice-captain in June 2009.

Shakib Al Hasan is a Bangladeshi cricketer. Considered as the greatest cricketer to have ever played for Bangladesh, Shakib is one of the best all-rounders in the world with highest rankings in all formats.[1][2][3][4][5] A left-handed batsman; he has scored centuries (100 or more runs in a single innings) on 5 occasions in Test and 7 occasions in ODI.
