After that, Harvick placed a $50,000 bounty on Busch, which the series sponsor added an equal amount, to any full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver who could defeat Busch legitimately (no crashing Busch or mechanical failures to end the race) in a Truck Series race. Elliott won on May 26 the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 to claim the bonus.
