This is a list of presidents of the Philippines, in order of longevity. There are currently sixteen presidents on the list and four living presidents since Rodrigo Duterte was inaugurated as the 16th president of the Philippines on 30 June 2016. The list is in descending order and is correct as of 5 November 2024.
The oldest president is Emilio Aguinaldo (1869–1964), who died at the age of 94 years, 321 days. The oldest living former president, Fidel Ramos (born 18 March 1928), will tie Aguinaldo if he lives to 2 February 2023. The second oldest living former president, Joseph Estrada (born 19 April 1937), will also tie Aguinaldo if he lives to 5 March 2032.
The president with the longest retirement is Emilio Aguinaldo. He left office on 23 March 1901 and died 62 years and 320 days later on 6 February 1964. The president with the shortest retirement is Elpidio Quirino, who died on 29 February 1956, 2 years, 61 days after he left office on 30 December 1953.
To account for the different number of leap days within the life of each president, two measure of longevity are given. The first is the number of whole years the president lived, and the number of days past their last birthday. The second list the total number of days lived by the president, accounting for differing numbers of leap years within the lifespans of different presidents.
Two Philippine presidents have lived into their 90s. The first to do so, Emilio Aguinaldo, held the distinction of being the longest-lived president for more than 6 decades – 63 years, from 1901 until 1964. The two nonagenarian presidents (ordered by lifespan) are:
-
Emilio Aguinaldo
22 March 1869 – 6 February 1964
(aged 94 years, 321 days) -
Fidel V. Ramos
born 18 March 1928
(age 96 years, 232 days)

Oldest living presidents of the Philippines[edit]
Not all presidents live to become the oldest of their time. Of the 11 deceased presidents, 3 eventually became the oldest of their time, while 8 did not (including all 3 presidents who died in office, and 5 others). Emilio Aguinaldo became the oldest living president when he took office in 1899 and remained so until his death in 1964, for a record 65 years and 14 days.
Fidel Ramos was the oldest to acquire this distinction at the age of 69 years, and 34 days. Sergio Osmeña, who was 83 years, and 40 days old when he died on 19 October 1961 was the oldest president to die without ever acquiring this distinction. Benigno Aquino III, who died on 24 June 2021, at the age of 61 years and 136 days old is the most recent president to die without ever acquiring this distinction.
