List of true homonyms
Homonyms, broadly defined, are words that are spelled the same and pronounced the same as each other, and yet have different meanings. These are ambiguous words, which have a meaning that depends on context. The category is somewhat subjective because words sometimes have related meanings that differ only very slightly. The Oxford English Dictionary use the term more narrowly, referring only to words that have different meanings and different origins, excluding a number of words with related meanings.
