List of volcanic settlements
Settlements built on volcanoes of recent origin or somewhere on their volcanic complexes or volcanic fields. These volcanoes may be active, dormant, or otherwise may not be entirely extinct. Such settlements are subject to potential future volcanic hazards, including but not limited to volcanic eruption, hydrothermal activity, or volcanic gases in their vicinity. This category does not include settlements merely threatened by volcanic activity but which are located at a distance and not located on the volcanic structure itself. It does include settlements which have volcano evacuation routes/procedures or warning systems.
