ListenTunes
George Kressler, known professionally as ListenTunes, is an American DJ and music producer.
ListenTunes began his musical career following the release of his debut single "Just A Socialite" in 2018. The song, which was an RNB Cinematic chill vibe, allowed George to secure a fan base.
You can never tell what genre George will put out next, most people relating him to DeadMau5 who switched his song genres with almost every song being different. George's focused seems to be leaning on more of an EDM, Techno, and Trance vibe with sneak peaks of his new album Take Flight having been released.
Name[edit]
His name ListenTunes he says in a private interview, "I started of with creating a YouTube channel and always wanted to do music I just didn't have the courage to put my stuff out there so I just started to game on it and gained a little following of around 400 subscribers." He goes into more detail and brakes the name down, but to sum it up he said this, "I wanted to include the word Tunes in it I always loved that word for some reason, so I said why not name it ListenTunes. This created the name it wasn't until 2017 I created a SoundCloud and started posting then in 2018 Spotify and other streaming platforms."
Career[edit]
Although it is early in his career to talk about, there are still things to talk about. In late 2017 George decided to create a SoundCloud to post his first ever song, "The Tuners." He claimed in a private interview "I made this song in GarageBand on my phone, the name was giving a shoutout to my fans on YouTube." Soon after he released two more songs on SoundCloud again still in GarageBand on his phone! A couple months later he released his first remix of Him & I, by Halsey and G-Easy. It was only a 44-second clip of that song but it was important, this remix gained over 8,000 listens in 10 months. This being his most popular song ever. He said in a private interview "I honestly didn't like the song at that point in time not know so many people would like it I guess that's just how I thought." This song was important to him though because it was his first release with Logic Pro X."
After releasing his Him & I remix he took a few months to create his Debut Single "Just A Socialite" featuring an RNB, chill vibe. This song would be released on many platforms that he had never been on before including Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, and more. This song to this day is still his #1 most listened song on all platforms.
Just a Socialite "was my first big break" he said jokingly. He was not sure if people would like it, making him nervous but the feedback was great so he went on to start producing more songs and finally, he hit a jackpot another single titled Veritas. He liked this song but not as much as Just A Socialite he said in a private interview.
Now his most recent release being Elytra, a Trance style song was different for him. He stated, "I had never listened to this genre much before, I now know why people love producing it, no limits no constraints it literally lets you lose whatever your mind can think of you do it! It truly inspires me to see a certain type of person listen to my music and connect with it"
