Live & Acoustic from the Forest of Chaos is the sixth EP from the American rock band Fairmont.

The seven-track EP was released digitally and on compact disc on January 28, 2014 with Mint 400 Records. The songs on Live & Acoustic from the Forest of Chaos were selected from a forty-two minute set Fairmont recorded for a radio show, recorded at Fairmont's studio, the Forest of Chaos.[1] The "stripped-down" EP contains acoustic guitar, male and female vocal duets and marimba, and is compared to the music of the indie rock band the Decemberists, and the alternative southern rock band Band of Horses.[2] Live & Acoustic from the Forest of Chaos features material from the albums The Meadow at Dusk, Destruction Creation and The Grand and Grandiose.[3]
Reception[edit]
A review in Jersey Beat by Deborah Draisin says "if you've ever envisioned yourself catching a Fairmont performance in a tropical setting, then you're in luck with this album," adding that Live & Acoustic from the Forest of Chaos "invokes the image of waves lapping at your feet, frozen, alcoholic fruit drinks, and ukuleles." She closes the review with saying "it's exciting to see them continue to grow and change. I personally can't wait to see what they do next."[2]
