Llimoo (born 4 May 1988) is a Spanish actor, comedian and screenwriter known for his work on television, radio, cinema, theater and in various audiovisual projects on the Internet.

Biography[edit]

After graduating in Journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona,[1] Llimoo enters to work as a creative in Alguna Pregunta Més? (APM?) of Televisió de Catalunya thanks to the popularity it had achieved with some of its viral video montages [2] such as the Ecce Homo Reloaded.[3] He later joined the radio space of humor La Segona Hora de RAC 1 as a scriptwriter and broadcaster on a daily basis for two seasons.[4]

Meanwhile, Llimoo combines his work in the radio with own productions on Internet, like the channel of comedy Haciendo la mierda, with more than 9 million visits. His performance in the sketches - which he writes with his friends - catches the attention of producers and television networks. It is then when Llimoo becomes one of the main faces of Sinvergüenzas,[5] the program of jokes with hidden camera of Neox (Antena 3) directed by Santi Millán of that proclaims winner thanks to tests like its kitchen workshop with love and its coaching motivational to some workers.[6]

His next TV work will be in Crackòvia, produced by Minoria Absoluta and broadcast on TV3 (Catalonia). There Llimoo leads the own section Llimoo President[7] in which he pretends to be the presidential candidate of FC Barcelona interacting with fans, street people and different personalities related to the world of soccer. In one of the reports Llimoo got to jump in parachutes from more than 4,000 meters.[8]

Shortly after, Llimoo is hired by the production company El Terrat to be part of the staff of habitual collaborators of Late Motiv, the new late night presented by Andreu Buenafuente in 0 (television channel) of Movistar+. On this occasion Llimoo plays an anti-reporter who connects with Buenafuente from important events such as the Goya Awards,[9] the Premios Feroz or the charity concert of The Rolling Stones in Havana[10] to interview different celebrities and inform with their particular style.[11] An "original" and "authentic" style, according to the writer Jair Domínguez, who defines Llimoo as "a reincarnated Andy Kaufman who does what he wants, an honest artist, of the few that remain.".[12]

In 2016, Llimoo jumps to the big screen with the role of Andrés in the film El pregón, starred by Berto Romero and Jorge Sanz.

Llimoo is the main character of "De repente, la vida", webserie created by himself and Ignasi Taltavull. Llimoo has also co-written the book Siri, cómeme los huevos, from the editorial Bridge.
