Many of the locations were secured through friends or family of the director.[2][full citation needed]

Logan was released in theaters on a limited, one week run, on September 10, 2010. The box office averaged $7,137 per screen.[3] Logan premiered at Ronnie's 20 Cine in St. Louis, Missouri.[4]

Dove gave Logan a favorable review, stating that it "explores a difficult subject matter but handles it in a loving and positive way".[5] In their review, The Sky Kid website wrote it was "a film that you like in spite of all its flaws".[6][self-published source?] After watching the film's trailer, Uproxx said, "LOGAN is my new favorite movie."[7]
