LogiTycoon is a browser-based, massively multiplayer online game, developed by van Dieren Media and released in 2018. The game is aimed at those interested in the world of transportation. This is a free-to-play game with the option to purchase Premium features, such as accelerated action times or extra in-game cash.
Game mechanics
The aim of the game is to set up your own transport company and then gain as many points as possible to climb up the rankings. To achieve this, as many loads as possible must be accepted and processed. These freights can be found on an open market, but a company can also join a corporation, whereby the group can provide the companies with better paid freights or jointly start a project with other group members.
For the smooth running of the company, the owner will also have to deal with other tasks. For example, it must be ensured that the trucks and trailers are repaired in time; the trucks are provided with enough fuel and enough personnel have been hired, who must also be in good condition.
There are different types of employees, each with their own price and characteristics, and different types of cargo with associated licenses. You will also have to take out service contracts with mechanics for the maintenance and repair of your trucks and trailers. All this adds an additional strategic challenge to the game.[1]
History
In August 2017, the game was made available to a predetermined amount of testers to include any additional features and to remove bugs from the game.
The game was initially launched in the English language in January 2018.[2] Since then, more languages have been added to the game.[3]
Later in 2018, the developer also released an iOS and Android app of this game.[4] [5]
