Lokesh Bakshi is an Indian guitarist, music composer, songwriter and performer based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra. He tours extensively for live gigs with acts such as Ram Sampath Experience, Shirley Setia, Jubin Nautiyal, Gajendra Verma, Sona Mahapatra, Darshan Raval, Suraj Jagan, to name a few. His solo composition Aasma and War of Broken Hearts received much appreciation. The album Waqt also deserves special mention.
Early life and career
Lokesh Bakshi was born and raised in New Delhi. He finished schooling from St. Xavier's School, Delhi. He was introduced to guitar at a very early age by his brother and ever since, he took guitar as his calling. He taught himself through books and various audio cassettes and eventually, music became an extension of his persona and medium of expression.
He took part in various inter school and inter college music festivals[1] (mention the genres) which moulded his formative years to a large extent and has won 'best guitarist award' at every possible college level competition.
Lokesh Bakshi is a big fan of Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, Steve Vai, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa, Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Clark.
Prestorika Era
Lokesh Bakshi was the founder member of "PRESTORIKA" in the year 2001[2], which later on went on to win the first ever Campus Rock Idols[3]. His stint with the band saw him perform a wide gamut of metal and rock 'n' roll like Megadeth, Machine Head, The Rasmus, Freak Kitchen, Wes Borland, and so on. The band was famous for powerhouse presentation in students' festivals.

Collaboration
After relocation to Mumbai, Maharashtra, his music career took a new dimension. He started playing live gigs with many Bollywood playback singers. He has performed across various countries like USA, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Macau, Abu Dhabi. His major collaboration is with Darshan Raval (Aasma), Gajendra Verma (Tera ghata).
