Long Key Awards (also Long Key or Long Key International Film Awards (LKIFA)) is an annual film award ceremony. The award was established in 2020.[1] The film awards are organized by O29 Production.

History

The award was established in April 2020. The film award includes feature, documentary and animated full-length and short films from around the world. The results of the first international film award were summed up on October 12, 2020.[2]

In the second season, the film award also considered film scripts, but from the third season, the organizers decided to abandon this idea.

In 2021 the film award introduced two new nominations for short film actors: Best Actor in a Short Film and Best Actress in a Short Film.

The film award was initially called the Leonid Khromov International Film Festival in honor of the project's founder Leonid Khromov, but since 2023 it has changed its name to the current one.

The film award was founded in the midst of the pandemic, so the organizers decided to hold several seasons of the film award in online[3] and hybrid formats.

Since the inception of the film award, films from 64 countries[4] have participated in it. The film awards have already included films starring famous actors and actresses who have become laureates and nominees, such as: Andrew Scott, Jeremy Irvine, Vedhika Kumar and others.

Starting in 2025[5] the film award also plans to reward the creators of music videos. "Many music videos today are almost short films. So why not reward such works?", — this is what the founder of the film award Leonid Khromov thinks.
