"Love Match Supreme Part 2" is the fifth episode of the first season of the American comedy television series Freelancers. The episode premiered on YouTube, on May 2, 2019.[1] The episode was written by series co-star Mallory Everton and was directed by Jeremy Warner.
In the episode, the group creates dating profiles to get dates for a Valentine's Day dance, in order to get a job making a commercial for the Love Match Supreme dating app.
Plot[edit]
After making dating profiles on the Love Match Supreme dating app, everyone except Arizona (Whitney Call), find dates for the Valentine's Day dance almost immediately.
The night of the dance, Arizona still hasn't found a date. The group realizes this must be because she used an ugly photo of herself, taken at the Grand Canyon. Arizona is encouraged to swipe right on everyone, and after doing so, she finds a match with Merlin (Dave Vance), a hideous man. The group, now with dates, head to the dance.
Once there, the group is confronted by Mr. Gandolfini, who reveals he catfished everyone except Arizona. Now with no dates and Merlin nowhere to be found, the group all head to the dance together, holding hands. Once inside, Mr. Doyle (Adam Berg) tells the group they won't be making the commercial, as they didn't find dates. Merlin arrives, and after Mr. Doyle sees him, he allows the group to make the ad when he realizes Merlin is Arizona's date, saying "love truly knows no bounds." The group celebrate by singing their Love Match Supreme jingle, only for Micah (Stacey Harkey) to mess up the lyrics, and for Mr. Doyle to fire them.
