Lowell Elementary School (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Originally known as School #9, Lowell Elementary School is the longest continually operating school in Warren Township. Founded in 1827 in a frame school house on the Moorhous Farm (located at 1100 S Kitley Ave.), it was moved to its present location in 1872 at Hunter and Raymond Streets. In 1914, a two story brick building was built.
