Genius Language School (GLS), (Arabic: مدرسة العباقرة لغات‎) is a private language school located in Giza, Egypt that was founded in 2002. It falls within the Kirdasa Educational Administration and serves students starting from kindergarten up to high school graduation.[1][2] GLS has a total capacity of 1300 students and has a teaching staff of 122 as of 2020.

In order to cope with modern technological development, the school is equipped with labs for science, computer and multimedia. The school is also known for its high criteria when it comes to students’ post-secondary stage, which require a +90% score in order to graduate from GLS.[3]

"Genius Language School is a supportive community that champions respect." - Chairman of GLS

The school hosts yearly events attended by students' parents, like graduation ceremonies, etc., and often hosts sports games as they have their own school teams of football, basketball, volleyball and handball, sometimes on their grounds or at other schools/university campuses like the October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA).

Renovation

The school building was entirely renovated in 2018 by an order from the chairman, and in 2020 the school had established its first official website shortly after the Egyptian government and Egypt's President decided to suspend all education in Egypt due to the global coronavirus pandemic, which forced many schools in Egypt to continue their school seasons online.[4][5]

Subjects

As a national language school, GLS subjects are taught in English, unlike public Egyptian schools that teach their subjects in Arabic.
