Baroness Loyse Marie Marguerite de Pury is a Swiss actress and art sales representative.

Early life and education[edit]

Loyse de Pury was born at the Villa Favorita in Locarno, Switzerland to Baron Simon de Pury,[1] an auctioneer, and Isabel Sloman, an art historian.[2][3] She is the niece of the Swiss diplomat Baron David de Pury.[citation needed]

De Pury studied acting at the Cours Florent in Paris, graduating in 2006, and with the Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company in North London, graduating in 2018.[4]

Career[edit]

Film and theatre[edit]

De Pury has been active in film and on stage. She played Naomi in the 2013 short film Castle of Perseverance and Miel Deville in the 2013 film Walk With Me?, directed by Giada Del Drago.[5][6] In 2015, de Pury appeared in the music video for Simone Rowat's song This Place.[4] De Pury also made a series of YouTube videos titled A Fairy Lost in Reality.[citation needed]

She performed in various theatre productions in London and in Paris,[7][8] including Robert Hossein's production of Ben Hur in 2006, the solo-show Eggspiry Date in 2012, YOU me Bum Bum Train in 2015, and Faire des Marques, Fatty, and Bombshells in 2018.[4][9]

Visual arts[edit]

De Pury works as an art expert and art sales representative.[10] She represented the visual artists Bonni Benrubi and Todd Merrill.[10] In 2020, she gave a studio tour to show Victoria Cantons' work.[11]

She leads the Mayfair Art Tours, a monthly art exhibit, at 1 Hotel Mayfair in London.[10] In October 2023, she showed pieces by Swiss contemporary artist Sylvie Fleury at Sprüth Magers, pieces by American artist Sheila Hicks at the Alison Jacques Gallery, and pieces by Kenyan-American artist Wangari Mathenge at Pippy Houldsworth Gallery.[10]

Personal life[edit]

On 21 April 2022, de Pury attended the Charity Gala For Ukraine People and Culture at the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice.[12]
