Lucky Luke: End of Legend (Persian: لوک خوش شانس: پایان افسانه) is a short fan film based on French comic Lucky Luke. This short film in motion comic style inspired by pop art was made to convey the feeling of a live comic. It was published in two ways, traditional and animated in 2022, directed by Amirhossein Jafari along with a book version and it was registered as the first fully comic short work in Iran. This short film received positive reviews from many art experts due to its faithfulness to Roy Lichtenstein's works.[1][2]
Plot
End of Legend is divided into three separate stories: the Daltons teaming up with Fingers, the Daltons' failed escape from prison, and Lucky Luke's duel with Ma Dalton.
Production

The visual idea of this film is inspired by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Comix Zone. The making of this short film took two years and used sources such as the Fingers comic (1983). During the production of this work, several advertising animations and homage to the covers and scenes of Lucky Luke comics have been produced. This fan film is made by placing photos of action figures and sculptures and collecting more than 5 comic elements such as Ben Day dots, visual effects and panels.
