Lumière was founded by Stig Harder in 1995.[citation needed] It was mentioned by Vogue (UK), Elle,[2][full citation needed] The Guardian,[3][full citation needed] The New York Times[4] and Entertainment Weekly.[5][full citation needed]

It was relaunched on September 10, 2012.[citation needed]

Awards and Distinctions[edit]

Lumière was nominated for a Webby Award in 1999[6] and again in 2002.[7]

Lumière was included in an exhibition called "Mixing Messages: Graphic Design in Contemporary Culture" at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum between September 17, 1996 and February 16, 1997.[8][dead link]
