Luminosity (yacht)
| Luminosity |
Luminosity is one of the largest yachts in the world, with a length of 107.6 meters (353 ft 0 in).[1] The interior of the yacht was designed by Zaniz Jakubowski. Luminosity is one of the first yachts to feature a hybrid propulsion system, considered more environmentally friendly than traditional diesel-powered boats.[2] The yacht was built by Benetti in Livorno, Italy.
As of 2025, the yacht, which was sold to Guryev when the original owner refused to take possession of her, was originally moved to Montenegro, and then held by the government there under sanction. Neither owner has reportedly ever set foot aboard her, nor has the yacht ever been fully outfitted, stocked and taken for a cruise of any kind, other than the initial sea trials by the builder. Long since abandoned by her last crew, the boat is now the responsibility of the Montenegro government. The teak decks are "completely destroyed", the hull overgrown, and everywhere there is rust and chipped paint. The boat is currently listed for sale,[3] though it would need a lot of work before it would be sailworthy.[4]
