Lynn Mansfield Astrup (born July 24, 1996) is an American ice hockey defender, currently playing with the Minnesota Whitecaps of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL).
Career[edit]
During her teenage years, she played for Warroad High School, winning state titles in 2010 and 2011. She was named a semi-finalist for the Minnesota Ms. Hockey Award in 2014.[1]
From 2014 to 2018, she played NCAA Division I women's ice hockey with the Minnesota Golden Gophers of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), scoring 9 points in 118 games. playing as both a forward and a defenceman. She was named a WCHA Scholar Athlete in 2016 and 2017.[2]
She signed her first professional contract with the Minnesota Whitecaps ahead of the 2020–21 NWHL season.[3]
Personal life[edit]
Astrup received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Accountancy, with Honors, from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She works in a private investment firm based in Minneapolis and Chicago and previously held positions in finance and analysis with Deloitte and Piper Sandler.[4]
