The M.N.U.Jayaraj Nadar Higher Secondary School is a 6-12 grade school in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was built by Madurai Nadar Uravinmurai and named after the philanthropist Shri S.G. Jayaraj Nadar. The school was established in 1957.[1] The foundation stone was laid on 11 September 1955 and declared open on 7 June 1957 with 183 students by Bharatha Rathna Shri K. Kamaraj, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The school is now running with 3325 students.

Middle School (6th to 8th Standard)[edit]

Samacheer kalvi scheme is adopted with trimester pattern in Tamil Medium and English Medium Streams.[2]

High School (9th and 10th standard)[edit]

Samacheer kalvi scheme is adopted with practical for physical science and biological science Tamil Medium and English Medium Streams.[2]

Higher Secondary (11th and 12th standard )[edit]

The following groups are given as choice for the higher secondary students.[2]

  • 2007 In the Golden Jubilee Celebration bust size Bronze statue of S.G. Jayaraj Nadar was erected, opened by Mr. P.R.Ramasubramania Raja, Ramco Group of Companies.
  • 09.05.2012 Arivuchudar K. Arivanandapandian's Bronze statue was erected and opened by Padmasri Dr. B. Sivanthi Adithanar, Director, Daily Thanthi[1]
