MCV Network is a digital news channel broadcasting in Tamil language. It was launched on 21 July 2020.
History
The MCV Network was launched in 2020 to conduct political interviews in Tamil. MCV Network was founded by Harish, a political commentator from Tamil Nadu. The organization includes retired government doctor Rajendran, college professor Prasanna and journalist Priya Gurunathan. [1] It was started to publish opinion polls related to elections in various states of India and interviews with various political leaders both in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Surveys
It was decided to publish election-related polls and the MCV Network first published the opinion polls for the Kerala state elections. The MCV Network, in partnership with Spick Media, accurately predicted the outcome of the election.[2] Following this, the MCV Network in partnership with Spick Media conducted the opinion polls for the 2021 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. They were published in two modes, pre-election and post-election. Voting took place in Tamil Nadu on April 6 and counting took place on May 2. The election results almost coincided with opinion polls published by the MCV Network.[3]
Interviews
On October 11, 2020, the MCV Network launched interviews with political leaders to expose the major problems, social issues and political changes in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The interviews are taken in English and Tamil. These interviews, which are conducted with social concern, are attracting a large number of people. It has been reported that the MCV Network is also considering conducting interviews regarding movies.
