Tree Vibez Music is an emerging music publishing company and the brainchild of hit-making superstar duo, Florida Georgia Line. Founded in 2015 by the duo’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and based in Nashville, Tennessee, TVM isn't limited to any specific type of genre, and at its heart is a hunger to stay creative, work hard and bring the good vibes. Built as a home for songwriters who share FGL’s core values of trailblazing style and passionate creativity, the TVM roster includes rising talents Corey Crowder, James McNair, Cameron Montgomery, Daniel Ross and Jordan Schmidt. In its first full year of existence, the TVM team has already secured cuts by major artists such as FGL, Luke Combs, Granger Smith, and Kane Brown, and celebrated their first-ever #1 with Jason Aldean’s recording of “Lights Come On” (written by Schmidt and placed on Aldean’s THEY DON’T KNOW album). In addition, the company has pioneered new practices in the craft of songwriting. With the Tree Vibez Bus, writers are able to tour alongside artists as they travel from city to city, providing a space that’s more conducive to creativity and collaboration than stars have ever had on the road before. In 2017, TVM will continue to discover, inspire, and develop its stable of hit songwriters, working to spread the Tree Vibez lifestyle around the world.

Writers[edit]

Jordan Schmidt A native of Duluth, Minnesota, songwriter/producer Jordan Schmidt has immersed himself in the Tree Vibez mindset of passionate creativity since first picking up a guitar at the age of 10. By 16, he was already recording local artists, and followed that calling all the way to College Park, Maryland, where he sharpened his skills as an assistant to Platinum-certified producer Matt Squire (The Used, Panic! At the Disco, One Direction, Kesha). After returning to Minneapolis, Schmidt established himself as an in-demand producer by working with acts such as All Time Low, Metro Station, Motion City Soundtrack, and Quietdrive. In 2012 he moved to Nashville to focus on songwriting, and after joining the Tree Vibez Music family in 2015 Schmidt has become one of the hottest new tunesmiths in country music. His diverse catalog of superstar cuts include Florida Georgia Line’s “Smooth,” “Island,” and “Life Is a Honeymoon” (featuring Ziggy Marley), Old Dominion’s “New York At Night,” Chris Lane’s “All About You,” and Granger Smith’s “If the Boot Fits.” In 2016, Schmidt reached another career milestone, scoring his first-ever #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with Jason Aldean’s “Lights Come On.” The single has since been certified GOLD. In 2017, Schmidt scored another #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with Kane Brown’s “What Ifs” (featuring Lauren Alaina). This single has since been certified DOUBLE PLATINUM. His most recent singles include Hunter Hayes’ “This Girl,” Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” and Granger Smith’s “Happens Like That” with upcoming singles from Mitchell Tenpenny and Rodney Atkins.

James McNair A South Carolina native who arrived in Nashville in 2013, songwriter James McNair embodies the hard-working positivity that underpins the Tree Vibez Music mission. McNair began playing guitar at the age of 9 and soon dedicated his life to music. He spent his free time at The University of Alabama experimenting with self-penned songs, developed a love for the craft and headed to Music City as soon as he got the chance. Holding down two jobs and co-writing with friends at the same time, McNair’s work ethic and unique lyrical perspective got him noticed soon after. He signed a joint-publishing deal with TVM and Sony ATV in 2015, and has already begun connecting with the new, anything-goes generation of country fans. McNair has secured cuts by artists like Kane Brown (“Hometown”), Jon Langston, and Pat Cooper, while also placing two songs with breakout country star Luke Combs. Both “Beer Can” and “Out There” appear as standout tracks on Combs’ debut album HERE’S TO YOU, which hit the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart in 2017.

Cameron Montgomery Still in his 20s and already a veteran of the music industry, Cameron Montgomery is a genre-defying songwriter and producer born in Scottsdale, Arizona. He began his career at 17 as a touring musician/technician with pop-rock acts The Summer Set and Hot Chelle Rae, who were opening concerts for superstars like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and The Script. During this time he interned with punk/rock producer John Feldman (Blink-182, Good Charlotte and Disturbed), and eventually landed engineering/assisting roles with acclaimed pop producers Dr. Luke and Henry “Cirkut” Walter in Los Angeles. Montgomery has been a member of studio teams behind MULTI PLATINUM-selling singles by Maroon 5 (“Sugar”) and Nicki Minaj (“Only” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown), as well as projects by Flo Rida, Pitbull, Ciara, Ne-Yo, Fifth Harmony, Wiz Khalifa, and more. Since arriving in Nashville, he has signed with Tree Vibez Music/Big Loud and begun fusing country music with pop, R&B, and hip hop, co-writing and co-producing all 13 tracks on Ryan Follese’s debut album for Big Machine/Republic Records, including the singles “Float Your Boat” and “Put a Label On It.”

Daniel Ross A fearless creator and modern country songwriter/producer who grew up in Hope Mills, North Carolina, beginning his music career as a touring musician at the tender age of 16. A former member of the rock bank Divided By Friday, Ross started recording local acts while still in college at Western Carolina University, and eventually built his own studio while perusing a degree in Public Relations. With an unquenchable thirst for pushing musical boundaries, Ross is well versed in a wide range of styles – from indie rock and alt-pop to new-school R&B – and he soon began writing country songs with a group of friends. Moving to Nashville upon graduation, he dove head first into Music City’s songwriting community and was invited to board the Tree Vibez Music bus to write with Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley in 2016. Discovering an instant musical kinship with the TVM founders, he signed a joint publishing deal with TVM and Big Machine Music in 2017, and continues to collaborate with a huge range of artists and hit songwriters, including FGL, Rascal Flatts, Rodney Atkins, Levi Hummon and Trent Harmon.

Corey Crowder One of Nashville’s elite songwriter/producers, Corey Crowder is a multi-talented natural best known for his ongoing collaboration with country star Chris Young. Raised in Loganville, Georgia, Crowder began his career as an aspiring artist, but moved to Nashville in 2010 to focus his efforts on behind-the-scenes hit making. Since then, he’s earned a place at the top of the charts multiple times, including in 2015 with Young’s PLATINUM-certified three-week #1 “I’m Comin’ Over” and again in 2016 with Young’s PLATINUM #1 “Think of You” (featuring Cassadee Pope). Also in 2015, Crowder scored his first #1 as a producer with Young’s GOLD-certified album, I’M COMIN’ OVER. The pair forged a musical brotherhood and have gone on to co-produce Young’s IT MUST BE CHRISTMAS and LOSING SLEEP, a project which includes seven more Crowder-penned tracks. As a songwriter, he has co-written a Top 20 single for A Thousand Horses – “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” – and Top 10 Canadian hits by Jess Moskaluke and Tim Hicks. His in-demand songs have been cut by Chris Janson, Justin Moore, Jon Pardi, Cole Swindell and Michael Ray while also earning placement on hit TV shows like Nashville, One Tree Hill, The Biggest Loser, The Real World, and Gainesville. Crowder’s production credits include work by Cale Dodds, Seth Ennis, James Otto, Eric Paslay, Jamie Lynn Spears, among others, and he is an Academy of Country Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards nominee.

RaeLynn Recently named a “Best Country Album of 2017” by UPROXX, Stereogum and Rolling Stone, RaeLynn released her Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville #1 debut WildHorse, produced by Jimmy Robbins and Nicolle Galyon, earlier this year to substantial critical acclaim. Lead single “Love Triangle” tells her personal story in a way that "is a raw and emotional account of what it’s like to be the child of divorced parents" (People Magazine), which media and fans immediately gravitated to, evidenced by the single hitting Top 10 sales per spin while the music video has racked up over 11.5 million views since its release. The remainder of the 12-track album, 11 of which (including the widely-praised “Lonely Call”) were co-written by RaeLynn herself, is a broader look into her life over the past few years since her breakthrough on NBC’s hit show, The Voice. Selected as a 2017 “Country Artist to Watch” by Pandora, Napster and Billboard and a CMT Next Women of Country inductee, RaeLynn has tallied 195 million plus cumulative career streams. She is poised to follow in the early success of her Top 10, GOLD-certified song “God Made Girls” that has tallied more than 1 million track equivalent sales and has been streamed more than 60 million times. The breakout star has earned numerous award nominations including the Academy of Country Music Awards’ New Female Vocalist of the Year, Radio Disney Music Awards’ Favorite Country Song and The Freshest! - Best New Artist Country, and most recently CMT Music Awards’ Breakthrough Video of the Year, her second in that category in addition to a Female Video of the Year nod. She recently announced her partnership with Too Faced Cosmetics and the RaeLynn-inspired “Life’s A Festival” collection will launch in February 2018. Over the past several months, she has performed on several national TV shows including TODAY, Late Night with Seth Meyers and ELLEN.
