Daisy Lopez Cabantog (born November 20, 1985), popularly known as Madam Inutz, is a Filipino social media personality. She gained popularity when her online selling of pre-loved clothes in a livestream on her Facebook page went viral with tens of millions of views. In 2021, she was selected as a celebrity housemate in Pinoy Big Brother, and started her career as a recording artist with her debut album entitled Inutil which includes two singles, "Inutil" and "Sangkap Ng Pasko".[1][2]

Early life[edit]

Cabantog was born in Tondo, Manila. She is the seventh among her nine siblings. Her father is Frederico Santos Cabantog, a Filipino fisherman from Hagonoy, Bulacan; and her mother is Griselda Lopez Cabantog a Filipino rice cake maker and laundry woman from Tondo. She graduated high school at Emilio Jacinto Elementary School. In 2005, Cabantog went to Japan to work as an entertainer and on 2007, she went to Seoul, South Korea for the same occupation. 2009, she started selling jewellery just to make ends meet, until her mother had her third stroke; that is when Cabantog decided to move her residence from Tondo, Manila to Amadeo, Cavite. Prior to selling ladies' apparel online, Cabantog tried many jobs from selling rice cakes, Filipino fritters, and other popular street food.

Career[edit]

2020-2021: Online selling and rise to popularity[edit]

Cabantog started her online selling on March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown was implemented in Manila. Due to the slow turnover of sales and low viewership, Cabantog started rebranding herself by incorporating swearing and use of curse words to attract more viewers. Due to this change in rebranding, her online selling initially received negative backlash until her online selling went viral and attracted viewers due to her "comedic antics and drunk-style interactions." After her online selling went viral, she became famous and an instant internet sensation.

According to Cabantog, she uses multiple Facebook pages due to receiving various Community Guidelines violation because of the use of profanity and other suggestive language. Eventually, she garnered millions of viewers every time she come on live.[3]

2021-present: Breaking the entertainment industry and Pinoy Big Brother[edit]

In August 2021, Madam Inutz signed a contract with talent agency Star Image Artist Management but she terminated a day after due to misunderstanding the agreements in the contract, and eventually she retracted from the agency.[4][5]

Two days after, she signed a contract with talent manager Wilbert Tolentino. Tolentino's management contract constitutes product endorsement, recording contract, tv and live streaming appearances.[6][7] [8][9][10][11]

In October 2021, Madam Inutz was announced as a celebrity housemate for the ongoing Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10. Even she is inside the Big Brother House, she is still continuing her online selling business to help her family financially.[12]
