Mahagujarat or Gujarat is a proposed independent country wherein the Gujarati people wish to form a prominent majority independent country. Contemporary use of Mahagujarat refers to large parts of the Western Ghats in India and would roughly encompass some divisions of Rajasthan and Maharashtra. The Gujarat Swarajya Sangh or Council of Gujarati-speaking people of Gujarat, is a political party of India which is backing secession from India and has a growing support of Gujarati separatists.[2]
Gujarati, under the name of Gujarata, advocates the independence of the Gujarati language territory and takes its inspiration from Bangladesh and the Khalistan.
